ENGINEER - INSTRUMENT

Purpose/Introduction

Designs and implements manufacturing technology to automate manufacturing production processes and equipment to achieve process safety and business objectives. Responsible for all design changes and reliability initiatives related to instrumentation, electrical (<480V), and associated controls.

Responsibilities

Performs the activities, may include but not limited to:

• Responsible for efforts to maintain equipment availability at highest operating level feasible, including the researchcommunication of new technologies and maintenance practices.

• Provides technical leadership and support to the Instrument, and Electrical, maintenance groups as required.

• Applies appropriate reliability tools (i.e., Worst Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM, Reliability Roadmap, etc.) to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve asset availability.
