Join Elk Valley Resources as an Engineer in Training to gain hands-on experience in mining operations in British Columbia. This on-site opportunity focuses on planning, coal and waste management while enhancing environmental strategies.
In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Engineering Supervisor – Short Range. Your focus will be on drill and blast planning, scheduling shovels, and ensuring compliance with sustainability initiatives. Engage with local communities to ensure responsible resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and adjust shovel schedules for optimal performance
• Conduct drill and blast planning in alignment with safety
• Integrate environmental goals into mine planning
• Monitor compliance with mining permits and regulations
• Deliver economic evaluations related to mining projects
