DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SPD Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the reprocessing; high level disinfection and storage of all flexible endoscopes. The successful candidate will follow the recommended practices of the CSGNA and the CSA. You will be responsible for monitoring biological tests required for Quality Control; maintaining the endoscope leasing program; monitoring and recording all information concerning the equipment; and terminal cleaning of endoscopy equipment at the end of your shift. Other duties as assigned.

NOTE: Personal Protective Equipment must be worn while performing the duties of an SPD Endoscopy Technician.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Successful completion of a recognized Central Service Techniques Course or CSAO course;
* Previous experience in a CS/SPD field including in-depth knowledge of cleaning, inspecting, testing and processing of flexible scopes
