Duties and Responsibilities

The primary role of an encoder is to transform raw data from various sources (paper documents, forms, invoices, etc.) into a structured digital format.

• Data Entry and Management: Inputting large volumes of information, such as customer details, sales records, or inventory items, into databases or spreadsheets.
• Data Verification and Quality Control: Checking entered data for errors, completeness, or discrepancies by comparing it against source documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• File Organization and Documentation: Organizing source documents, both physical and digital, and maintaining a systematic filing system for easy retrieval and auditing.
• System Updating: Regularly updating existing records with new information, such as product prices or stock levels, to ensure the system reflects current information.
