Employment Opportunity Care Aide

Greenwoods Eldercare Society supports an environment in which all residents are treated with care, compassion and respect to promote well-being and dignity. Reporting to the Manager and under the supervision and direction of the registered nurse or designate, the Health Care Aide assists the resident in activities of daily living to meet physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs and maintain optimal functioning while promoting autonomy and choice.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support residents with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Monitor and document residents’ health status, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, promoting a person-centered approach to care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
