Emergency Response Volunteer (Gravesend)

When there is a fire, flood or severe weather, we’re among the first to respond.

You must be located within 30 minutes of Thameside Fire Station fire station (DA11 8NT).

This is a 24-hour service and volunteers will need to be available when on call.

We would like volunteers who;

• Be able to volunteer on a regular basis.
• Can volunteer on a rota/shift basis for 2 x 12 hour shifts. A minimum of 2 shifts/24 hours per month.
• Have held a manual driving licence for at least 2 years which allows you to drive in the UK. Be confident driving a large British Red Cross vehicle.
• Are able to attend in-person monthly team meetings.
• Are available to undertake required e-learning modules and online training sessions in the first few months of volunteering plus other service specific trainings as required.
• Can commit to volunteering for at least 12 months.
