**Looking for a Development Agency — ASCIA OS (Smart Home Embedded Platform)**
We are ASCIA Inc., a Montreal-based smart home company building ASCIA OS — a next-generation home automation operating system installed on a dedicated physical server in the client's home. This is not a web app or a SaaS product. It is an embedded OS based on a Home Assistant OS (HAOS) fork, with a fully custom interface and proprietary add-on layer.
**What we are building**
ASCIA OS replaces the default Home Assistant frontend with a real-time 3D/2D interactive floor plan + SvelteKit) where every IoT device in the home is visible and controllable live. The system handles automatic device discovery across Zigbee, Z-Wave, ONVIF cameras, MQTT, KNX, and PoE switches, automated VLAN and firewall configuration via Omada/Unifi SDN APIs, WireGuard VPN for remote access, Frigate NVR for camera recording and object detection, and a Flutter mobile app for iOS and Android.
