ELL (English Language Learner) Coordinator

The English Language Learner (ELL) Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all ELL students receive proper support to thrive at Faith Academy and advance in their English language development. The role collaborates with divisional principals and the Curriculum Director to lead ELL programs, and oversees the testing coordinator and testing program for ELL families.

Responsibilities

• Work professionally to stay abreast of current philosophy and methods of language acquisition and instruction.
• Develop adequate entrance procedures in tandem with the FA Registrar for ELLs and their parents; coordinate with Central Office reception staff to dispatch necessary forms.
• Work with principals and ELL staff across divisions to implement the WIDA assessments for entrance/exit decisions and suitable instructional materials.
