Elementary School Homeroom Teacher

REPORTS TO: Elementary School Principal

JOB GOAL: The ES Homeroom Teacher provides quality instruction in the following content areas: English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Bible, Science, and Social Studies. He/She is responsible for collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement standards-based assessments and lessons. He/She also closely monitors student progress, provides timely feedback to students, and consistently communicates student progress to parents to maximize student learning growth. The ES Homeroom Teacher is also responsible for supervising students during recess/lunch duties as needed/required.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify the needs of students through diagnostic procedures and align instructional objectives to these needs. Plan, prepare, and execute appropriate lessons, utilizing appropriate resource materials and activities.
• Maintain student records as required by the school.
