Electronic Control Technician

Under the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent of this position must ensure the proper functioning of the electronic control systems present on our production equipment or auxiliary systems. The incumbent proposes improvement actions in order to keep all of our systems efficient and up-to-date and participates in the analysis of opportunities for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Identify actions to improve or update existing equipment and make recommendations to the immediate supervisor by establishing a realistic budget.
• Maintain all technical documentation related to activities (technical plan, work procedure, etc.).
• Act as a technical advisor to our plant in Cornwall or our division – Glopak Equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of systems to ensure that they are working properly.
