Electrical Engineer

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Design and engineer plans for undergrounding existing electrical distribution facilities over freeways, and for the undergrounding of overhead electrical distribution facilities in the greater Houston area. Design and engineer plans for delivering underground electrical feeds to critical customers such as hospitals. Design and engineer plans for reconductoring underground electrical cable. Review and analyze site plans, plan and profile drawings, electric one-lines, and schematics completed by contract engineering resources. Coordinate the design and installation of new underground facilities with consulting engineers, contractors and affected CenterPoint Energy departments. Prepare work orders, easement documents, cost estimates, terms & condition packages and utility construction services agreements for electric service to customers.
