Job Description
We are seeking a Electrical Engineer - Substation in our Atlanta office. Physical designs for electrical substations, both new construction and upgrades/retrofits
Prepare and review documents and drawings. These include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, plan-section drawings, foundation, grounding drawings, AC/DC calculation, grounding and shielding study, and equipment specifications and Bill of Materials.
Preparing bid, construction, and as-built documents
Develop proposals (scope of work, estimate, etc.)
Perform substation testing and commissioning as needed
Field visits including pre-engineering, pre-construction and post-construction inspections
Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (i.e. NEC, NESC, IEEE)
Develop proficiency with the applications and tools necessary to complete projects requested by clients
Lead QA/QC process and sign off on engineering documents
Manage team of engineers, technicians and designers
