Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as technical expert at a multi-purpose hydroelectric facility in the Engineering and Contracts Section. Responsible for a variety of functions in support of the large hydropower plant, fish passage systems, navigation lock, and spillway. Responsibilities Troubleshoot unusual circumstances, locates problems, formulates plan of action, develops precedents, identifies and defines requirements, designs new or modifications, etc. Analyze complex electrical engineering problems and develops cost-effective and viable solutions. Evaluate alternatives, considering all factors such as: technical, environmental, fisheries, and economic concerns; and recommends best course of action.
