Summary This vacancy is for a GS-0850-12, Electrical Engineer located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Facilities Engineering Dept, Construction and Engineering Branch. Responsibilities You will serve as an Electrical Engineer and be responsible for developing the designs, plans, specifications and estimates for all electrical engineering work that is required at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Managing assigned projects from concept through completion. Acting as the Electrical Engineer-in-Charge (EIC) for in-house projects, preparing all design documentation for electrical work, to include detailed drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates for a wide range of electrical systems.
