Electrical Designer, Mining

Locations: St. Johns, NL; Brampton, ON; Sudbury, ON; North Bay, ON

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the lead engineer and staff designers to design and draft accurate drawing packages
  • Electrical drafting: single‑line diagrams, three‑line diagrams, grounding plans, wiring, schematics, AC/DC wiring systems, loop diagrams, plan views and elevation/section drawings
  • Assist the lead engineer in the design of power and lighting layouts, circuiting, fire alarm, automation & control, instrumentation and electrical details
  • Draft in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or Revit environments
  • Plot, scan and issue project drawing and documentation packages
  • Support multiple projects, client deadlines and deliverables

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy industrial design and layout, preferably in an EPCM environment
