Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented OSP (Outside Plant) Permitting Specialist to support our fiber construction and engineering operations. This role acts as a liaison between field data collection and official permitting requirements of cities, counties, DOT agencies, and private utilities.
Schedule and Modality~
Schedule~ 8~00 AM to 5~00 PM Central Time
Modality~ Preferably on-site to start
Responsibilities~
Design and Drafting~ Create accurate permit drawings using AutoCAD to show intersections, existing utilities, proposed fiber routes, plan/profile views, and jurisdiction-specific layouts. Place underground and aerial infrastructure based on field measurements.
Data Integration~ Interpret raw field notes, utility data, and measurements from field technicians into detailed, scaled CAD drawings.
GIS Mapping~ Use GIS platforms (ArcGIS, ESRI, QGIS, or similar) to manage spatial data, align routes with utility grids, and maintain digital maps.
