Job Description
The City of Delta is seeking a temporary Elections Coordinator to assist with planning, coordinating, and delivering the 2026 Local Government Election, scheduled for October 17, 2026. Under the direction of the Chief Election Officer and Deputy Chief Election Officer, the Elections Coordinator will provide administrative, logistical, and operational support essential to the successful conduct of the election.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Chief Election Officer to ensure all legislated election procedures and requirements are followed and enforced
- Assisting with the recruitment, assignment, and training of election staff
- Ordering, organizing, and preparing supplies and materials for voting places
- Coordinating the distribution, security, and return of ballots and automated vote tabulators
