Job Description
I am a quadriplegic. I need to use a lift to transfer from bed to chair and vice versa.
I get a shower every other day so one day of each weekend.
Besides the shower I also have my hair washed and blow dried.
On shower days the dressings on my two pressure sores need to be changed.
I need help with dressing.
Every morning I get leg stretching and range of motion exercises.
Because of the nature of the job, it’s essential that the caregiver is a woman.
Anything that isn’t clear can be explained by my live-in caregiver who has been here for 8 years. This job is to give her some time off.
I live in Airdrie, so it’s best if my caregiver also lives in Airdrie.
