Duties/Responsibilities: Designs, plans, and implements secure communications networks in support of agency operations and mission requirements. Leads the configuration, administration, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN concentrator technologies supporting LAN, WAN, and secure remote access environments. Coordinates and executes network hardware and software upgrades, enhancements, and lifecycle replacements in accordance with established standards, policies, and security requirements. Monitors network performance, availability, and security using approved, industry-standard monitoring tools. Applies engineering design methodologies to develop innovative, reliable, and compliant technical solutions.
