**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As our Educator, RN in Periop, In accordance with our mission and core values of integrity, compassion, collaboration, and excellence, this position is established to serve as a consultant/resource professional by providing staff development expertise as an educator, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher, ensuring all educational initiatives are strategically aligned with the Perioperative department's operational goals and facility leadership priorities. The Perioperative Educator supports the development of the direct-care nurse and fosters nursing excellence through new knowledge and the delivery of evidence based practice. Facilitation of the educational process includes assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development, in close collaboration with the Perioperative Leadership Team.
