Educational Advisor

Overview

The University’s Academic Advising Centre works primarily with prospective applicants, applicants and enrolled students in years one and two. The Centre provides a full range of supports, including academic success strategies, career development, educational planning, program and course selection, student progress assessment and problem solving. The Advising Centre works collaboratively with all Student Affairs areas and numerous academic partners to support the institutional academic plan.

Duties

• Assist students to clarify career and academic goals and develop suitable educational plans. Provide accurate information about VIU to students, including appropriate courses or programs to meet identified career/program objectives.
