In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with the Head of Department to co‑lead the English subject area, driving outstanding outcomes for our students. You will assist in shaping the curriculum, monitoring attainment, promoting a vision for developing literacy across the academy, and ensuring that learning and teaching are consistently of the highest standard.

Departmental Leadership & Development

• Co‑Lead the Subject Area: Support the Head of Department in implementing a long‑term vision and developing English both within the Communication Learning Centre and across the academy.
• Curriculum & Innovation: Monitor and evaluate the curriculum, planning engaging, relevant schemes of learning for Key Stages 3 and 4 while developing innovative approaches utilizing ICT.
