Job Description

We are recruiting Education Support Workers with a Health Care Assistant (HCA) background to work in a specialist education setting in Peterlee. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in care, mental health or support work who are looking to transition into education.

You will support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and personal care needs, working closely with teaching and pastoral staff.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support pupils with emotional, behavioural and personal care needs.


  • Assist pupils during lessons and structured activities.


  • Implement support plans and behaviour strategies.


  • Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times.


  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
