EC&I Engineer – Alfreton Block Plant, Derbyshire
Join our brilliant team at Tarmac’s Alfreton Block Plant, where we produce sustainable, energy‑efficient aerated blocks used in homes and workplaces across the UK.
What You’ll Do
As EC&I Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll drive maintenance excellence and system reliability across the plant.
You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot, improve, and future‑prove our electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead 1‑year and 3‑5‑year asset improvement plans
- Implement Written Schemes of Examination and Risk‑Based Assessments
- Advise on repairs and inspection intervals to meet legal and business standards
- Support plant upgrades, modifications, and CAPEX projects
- Diagnose faults using data, modelling, and system analysis
- Promote best practices in maintenance and change management
