Join Downer and play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure across our Whanganui network. We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Driver/Operator to join our team. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining plant and equipment safely and efficiently, while contributing to high‑quality outcomes across our works programme.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently in line with company standards.
• Carry out pre‑start checks and identify/report hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
• Work as part of a crew to deliver civil construction and maintenance activities.
• Ensure plant is operated with care for the environment, minimising emissions and waste.
• Maintain equipment and report faults to support reliable performance.
