POSITION SCOPE

Laidlaw is looking for a Driver trainer to be responsible for ensuring that our drivers are effectively trained to do their jobs professionally, and safely. Ensure that everyone operates in compliance with our policies and procedures, and meets and/or exceeds Government regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Road tests
  • Orientation, training, and onboarding for new drivers
  • Internship program
  • Remedial training as required
  • Spot checks
  • Assist in accident, inspection, and citation investigations
  • Satellite training and ELD Reviews
  • Operational requirements as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years working as a Class AZ driver
  • Experience coaching new drivers would be an asset
  • Experience with Van and Reefer trailers would be an asset
  • Clean Abstract / CVOR
  • Excellent oral and written communication skil...
