Overview

A Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions at the point of sale. They process payments, issue receipts, provide change, and maintain an accurate cash drawer. In addition to transactional duties, cashiers may also assist with customer inquiries, help with product returns or exchanges, and keep the checkout area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (some roles may require additional training)
• Strong basic math and cash handling skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to operate a cash register or POS system
