Domestic Assistant

The Role

Domestic assistants are more than just a cleaner, they are the lifeblood of the NHS and an integral part of the team, keeping hospitals, health centres, offices and other areas clean and hygienic. No previous experience is required and training will be provided inline with the BICS accreditation. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a permanent, full‑time position working Wednesday to Sunday 1pm - 9pm.

Main duties

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and common areas.
• Follow infection control protocols to prevent cross‑contamination.
• Dispose of waste safely and according to hospital guidelines.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
