Doctoral Researcher in Transport Studies

Overview

Doctoral researcher will be embedded in the Spatial Planning and Transportation (SPT) research group and contribute to the CO‑SPACES research project funded by the Research Council of Finland. The project assesses the benefits and burdens of current and future urban street space distribution in Finnish cities, focusing on societal impacts, equity, and governance. The PhD will focus on governance aspects, understanding actors’ views and influencing governance processes.

Position is fully funded for four years, with a preferred starting date in autumn 2026. The doctoral degree is granted after completing taught courses, writing and defending a thesis, and publishing research.
