Doctoral Researcher in Set Theory and Mathematical Logic

We are recruiting a PhD student interested in completing a PhD in set theory and logic. The position is part of the research project Interactions between set theory and non‑standard logics funded by the Academy of Finland, which is led by Dr. Ur Ya’ar. The fixed term runs from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2030, with some flexibility regarding the starting date. There will be a six‑month trial period. The application deadline is 31 July 2026.

Job Description

The selected candidate will carry out research on the interactions between set theory and non‑standard logics, preferably within one of the two branches of the project. These are active fields within set theory, with many possible research directions.
