Distribution Operations Engineer

Job Overview

With a focus on networking, international satellite and fibre methodology and compression and distribution technologies, this role reports to the Senior Director of Distribution Engineering. The Operations Engineer monitors and supports WBD’s global television distribution infrastructure and Live Events output, working within the Tier 1 behind‑the‑scenes operations team. The role requires a versatile technical and personal skill set, including the ability to remain calm, react quickly under pressure and execute key responsibilities.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Monitoring all of WB Discovery’s channels
• Manage the necessary switching of transmission systems during normal or emergency conditions to ensure that all services remain on the air.
• Respond to all affiliate enquiries and maintain on‑going communication with customers, keeping them up‑to‑date with the progress of their tickets
