Job Description
The Distribution Operations Control Center Instructor Senior (DOC ) helps ensure safe, reliable energy for communities across Arizona by preparing operators to manage the distribution grid. In this role, you coordinate and implement all phases of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) for APS’s Distribution Grid Operations training program. You analyze operational needs, job and task requirements, and translate them into well‑designed training and evaluation materials. You deliver technical instruction that prepares employees for Distribution Operations Center (DOC) operator certification, supports their daily system‑operations responsibilities, and provides ongoing education for current operators and operations staff. By creating high‑quality training you help build a capable workforce that supports operational excellence and contributes to a sustainable energy future for Arizona.
