Dispenser / Technician – Over Wyre Medical Centre, Lancashire Coastal GMS, semi-urban practice serving 11,500 patients.

Annual leave: 5.6 weeks per year plus bank holidays. Automatically enrolled into NHS Pension Scheme. Salary depends on experience.

Responsibilities

• Dispense acute and repeat prescriptions following practice SOPs.
• Update patient medication records on doctor’s instructions.
• Handle patient interactions at the front desk, hand out medication, respond to queries.
• Prepare weekly medication for Nomad packaging and check Nomad packs.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of dispensary area.
• Record transfer of controlled medication stock via the online CD register.
• Meet requirements of the Dispensary Services Quality Scheme.
• Collect prescription charges in accordance with protocol.
