Dispenser

Reporting to the Dispensary Manager, or the DeputyDispensary Manager, the primary aim of the role is to ensure that all appropriately authorised prescriptions are dealt with in accordance with the principles of good practice, whilst maintaining the highest standards within the Dispensary and as a part of the Practice Team.

Main duties of the job

To ensure that all medicines and appliances are dispensed according to Standard Operating procedures, laws and Regulations using the surgeries computer system Dispense-It and the Nomad System. Whenever there is any doubt about the appropriateness of the prescribed item to check with the authorizing Doctor or Duty Doctor.

To place daily orders with appropriate Mainline Wholesalers within the morning and afternoon cut off times allowing prompt delivery maintaining stock levels to avoid inappropriate to follows
