Director of Kahnawà:ke Legislative Services

Purpose:

The Director of Kahnawà:ke Legislative Services (KLS) provides leadership and operational oversight to KLS to ensure independence, integrity, and full functioning of the Kahnawà:ke legislative system. Under the governance oversight of the KLC and the administrative oversight of the Executive Director of MCK, the Director leads in supporting the development, amendment, enactment, and repeal of laws and regulations through the Community Decision Making and Review Process (CDMRP).

The Director ensures legislative sustainability and fosters effective relationships with internal and external partners. The Director collaborates with the KLC in strategic planning and resourcing and ensures transparent communication with the KLC, Ratitsénhaienhs, and community stakeholders.
