Director of Business Development

Reports to: The Vice President in the Economic Development’s Department

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive action plan to generate revenue for the Corporation, reviewing and adjusting strategies regularly to maximize effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the Executive Assistant and Senior Economic Development Officer to execute economic development initiatives and fundraising plans.
• Develop, implement, and oversee all fundraising policies, procedures, special fundraising events, and grant application processes.
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of Economic Development staff; coordinate volunteer support when required.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and report progress and outcomes to the Vice President and Board of Directors.
