• Represent the Doctoral School before governing bodies of UVic-UCC and other bodies as required.
  
• Chair the Steering Committee of the Doctoral School.
  
• Propose to the Rector the appointment of Steering Committee members.
  
• Implement and ensure compliance with decisions adopted by the Steering Committee.
  
• Inform the Steering Committee of actions taken and arising from their decisions.
