Diesel Technician V

SCMI1 is seeking a highly motivated professional to fill a vacant Diesel Technician role.

The candidate will function in accordance with the equivalent responsibilities of an Engineering Technician V  to provide technical assistance with inspecting and maintaining critical shipboard systems as directed by Navy Regional Maintenance Centers to include:

• Main Propulsion Diesel Engines Diesel Engine Couplings Clutch Assemblies Lubricating Oil Systems Combustion Air Systems Power Generation Diesel Engines Security Clearance Requirements: • Must possess, or be able to obtain, and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET Security Clearance.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• 5 to 7  years of experience operating and maintaining Navy shipboard diesel-power generating equipment Direct knowledge of Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual, Navy Standard Items, and applicable Naval Ships’ Tech...
