Diesel Motor Mechanic - Heavy Vehicle

AUS TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIRS PTY LTD is seeking experienced Diesel Motor Mechanics to maintain, test and repair diesel motors as well as other mechanical parts of trucks such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.

Tasks

- Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts

- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts

- Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, referring to service manuals as needed

- Reassemble engines and parts after being repaired

- Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance, diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers

- Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness

- Victorian roadworthy certificate authority licence can be obtained after hiring
