Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist-General Radiology

Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Responsibilities The technologist will perform technical work in support of Diagnostic Imaging under the direction of a physician. Operates all radiology equipment both mobile and fixed, and assists the radiologist in fluoroscopic procedures as part of the diagnostic plan for patients. The technologist works closely with radiology students, mentoring and providing guidance with examinations during all aspects of their clinical rotations.
