Designated Safeguarding Lead:

Location: Manchester (M12)


Pay: £150-£200 per day, depending on experience


Start date: 20/04/2026


Contract: Full-Time, Long Term


Prospero Teaching are recruiting a Designated Safeguarding Lead to work at a Pupil Referral Unit based in Longsight, Manchester.


As a DSL, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact with regards to safeguarding matters in the school

  • Providing pastoral support for vulnerable young people and their families

  • Attendance and reporting in an array of meetings: Emergency Strategy, Core Group, Initial Child Protection Conferences, Child In Need, Early Help, Team Around the Child/Family

  • Sharing of information with appropriate services – adhering to GDPR

  • Monitor attendance of pupils and provide support/guidance to those who are struggling and at risk of becoming NEE...
