Overview The Design Manager, Gateway Program role will be hired under the Engineering Management Centre of Excellence group within the Engineering Management Technical Professional Organization of Engineering Services Canada. The role supports the delivery of Engineering Services on a large project, reporting to the Director of Operations and leading multidisciplinary design standards.
Role Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate implementation of multi-disciplinary design standards and collaborate with the main contractor.
Oversee pre‑construction phase services, including planning, design phases, site development, permitting, and procurement support.
Serve as client interface at multiple levels, providing technical advice and subject matter expertise.
Manage design consultancy agreements to meet contract technical specifications, schedule, and cost goals.
Facilitate design reviews and coordinate feedback from all stakeholders.
