The Deputy Fire Chief will:

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs for all full-time and volunteer firefighters.
• Ensure firefighters and officers are compliant with NFPA standards and applicable provincial and municipal requirements.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of firefighter training records and credentials, ensuring all recertification requirements are met on schedule.
• Supervise a team of volunteer firefighters, ensuring training and performance meet department standards; provide coaching, professional development, support, and discipline as needed.
• Deliver routine training in-house, while building relationships with external partners to source specialized training as needed.
• Lead the planning and execution of annual emergency training exercises.
