Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose dental diseases.
  • Examine patients' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue.
  • Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
  • Plan dental health treatment.
  • Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth.

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. National Dental Examining Board of Canada Certification.

Medical Specialization

Dentistry.
