Dental Assistant

About the business and the role

The dental assistant is a key person in the delivery of dental care to patients. You will primarily be assisting the dentist in maintaining an efficient workflow for friendly dental care. Help the dentist do cleaning of teeth, fillings, repairs and some minor surgery. Some sterilisation duties and light reception duties (making appointments) may be required. The job will include some Saturdays (negotiable).

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older to be considered for this dental assistant role.

Job tasks and responsibilities

You will need to be fast and efficient with preparing instruments for the dentist. You will need to maintain infection control standards in the sterilisation of equipment. Dental patients are usually anxious so having a caring and friendly nature is a definite advantage.
