Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance, analyze slow queries, and implement tuning strategies (indexes, plans, statistics, etc.).
- Perform regular database maintenance including backups, restores, integrity checks, and patching.
- Support high availability and disaster recovery configurations (AlwaysOn Availability Groups, clustering, replication).
- Implement and maintain automation for SQL Server maintenance tasks where appropriate.
- Participate in a rotational weekend/on-call schedule to support production releases and critical issues.
