Job Description
Role Summary:
Join IBM's Cloud VPC Observability team to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise cloud infrastructure. The role involves hands-on onsite support of physical server hardware and network infrastructure in data centers, driving operational excellence and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues (servers, RAID controllers, network cards, etc.)
- Perform hardware upgrades/downgrades and maintenance for IBM Cloud customers.
- Manage physical network connections and infrastructure within data centers.
- Handle asset management, ensuring inventory accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Support 24/7 operations with rotating onsite shifts (no remote support).
- Collaborate across teams to resolve outages and infrastructure events.
- Assist in capacity planning and site utilization tracking.
