Job Description
Responsibilities:
Monitor alerts for various database, including MariaDB, PostgreSQL, EDB, Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, Redis, and MongoDB, and take appropriate actions to ensure stability and performance.
Perform daily health checks of production databases to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance.
Monitor daily backups and implement recovery solutions to ensure data resilience and business continuity.
Manage database availability and performance, including incident and problem management processes.
Collaborate with the Major Incident Management (MIM) team to resolve and coordinate responses to high-criticality issues.
Execute periodic production patching and upgrade management to maintain database performance and security.
Work closely with users and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting service levels.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains in database operations.
