TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for a Database Administrator

Pay Rate Range: $51 -$63

Job Description

This is a 6 month contract located in Toronto, ON/ Hybrid (2 days in-office (will increase to 4 days in future).

Typical Day in Role:

• Implementing PostgreSQL database clusters with replication
• Manage database security/integrity and backup procedures
• Upgrade Database instances from lower versions to current versions.
• Assist with database design and development and tuning queries
• Independently manage MongoDB installations and configurations in Linux environments and cloud (GCP).
• Implement multi-data center replica sets and sharded clusters across Linux platforms and MongoDB Atlas on GCP.
• Ensure database security with knowledge of audit, security, backup/recovery and encryption at rest.
