Database Administrator

ENVIRONMENT:

A cutting-edge Tech company in Durban wants you to join its team as its next Database Administrator where you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, optimisation, and support of the organisation's database systems. This role ensures database performance, security, and availability, while also contributing to database development projects and supporting Application Teams with database-related queries. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred) & preferably Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional, or similar Certifications. You will also need 3–5 years' experience in a DBA role with strong SQL & familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, SolarWinds DPA, Redgate).
